Lännen Tractors Oy and rally driver Jari-Matti Latvala to start co-operation
Lännen Tractors Oy, which manufactures machines for construction and environmental projects, and the rally driver Jari-Matti Latvala have concluded an agreement on co-operation for the year 2011. With this co-operation Lännen Tractors aims to achieve greater publicity for its products, and consequently expand its client base.
- The products of Lännen Tractors – Lännen Wheel-loader Backhoes and Lännen Lundberg multi-purpose machines – enjoy a prominent position in our everyday streetscape. With this co-operation we are seeking to establish better contact with our younger clients, who are interested in construction machinery and wish to develop their interest in the sector in general. In terms of their technology, Lännen products represent the pinnacle, like rally cars within the automotive industry. Of course, we are confident that Mr. Latvala will be successful in the World Rally Championships, says Mr. Timo Huttunen, the managing director of Lännen Tractors Oy.
According to Mr. Huttunen, the company's clients – mainly entrepreneurs – are generally very interested in motor sports, particularly in rallying. Mr. Latvala is personally familiar with the machines manufactured by Lännen Tractors Oy, because his father has worked in the machinery field for a long time, as both operator and sales representative. Even at this very moment some Lännen Wheel-loader Backhoes may be found in the depot at the Latvala family's home.
- I first became familiar with the Lännen machines growing up at home, where I got used to using different kinds of earth-moving machinery. We use them actively for power-line construction and general construction work. It is really terrific to have a company with traditional Finnish machine-building know-how, representing the pinnacle in terms of technology, as my co-operation partner, says Mr. Jari-Matti Latvala.
Lännen Tractors Oy manufactures Lännen Wheel-loader Backhoes in Loimaa and Lännen Lundberg –multi-purpose machines in Skellefteå, Sweden. Lännen Tractors is part of the Lännen MCE concern, which comprises 5 companies in Finland and Sweden and whose products are sold in 10 European countries. International operations account for 2/3 of the company’s turnover.
The World Rally Championship series begins on Thursday, 10th of February with Rally Sweden.
